Oru Seco is the Bata drum cycle, without melodies. Adrian Coburg’s interpretation book of Afro-Cuban Bata scores contains essential Bata mood designs and extra solo parts. These are vital Bata scores to be played as the opening of religious services. The Bata rhythms are introduced in a distinct request to call the Orishas. Adrian Coburg’s accumulation opens with Elegua and finishes with Oddua, which is the request customarily played at services in Havana. It is protected and transmitted in oral legacy by Santero Julio Davalos (“Awó Chadeé”) to Adrian Coburg (“Otruponka”, “Omo aña ewue Osain”).
